General Comments About the Boat

Zenith was built in 2001 by John White Boatbuilders and is a beautiful 52 foot semi-trad boat with Josher-style bows re-painted 2019.

She has a large, regularly maintained Beta Marine diesel engine (Model 1903 - 43bhp) which is serviced at 250 hr intervals.

Electrical supply - 3 x domestic batteries and 1 x engine battery. 12V and 240V supplies (via an Inverter). There is a landline connection for powering the 240V system plus a trickle charger for charging up the batteries.

Heating is provided by an Erbespacher diesel central heating system and a solid fuel stove.

The boat is fitted with fire extinguishers and blankets as well as smoke detectors and a CO detector.

The stainless steel water tank holds 150 gallons and has twin water pumps.

The interior of the cabin is lined with ash-veneered T&G and hardwood trim.

There is spray foam insulation in all areas.

Entry is from the stern via a glazed door. This leads into the cabin which has a fixed double bed with an interior spring mattress. The bed side can be pulled out to create a 5 foot wide bed. There is ample storage space beneath the bed and in a range of cupboards.

The shower/bathroom has a 'hip bath' with shower over, a wash basin with storage under, and a Sealand Traveller pump-out toilet.

The galley has vinyl flooring with a sink and drainer, electric fridge, a gas oven, grill and 4-burner hob, and a microwave oven. It is extremely well equipped for four people (there are several good cooks among the owners!).

The main saloon has a breakfast bar with two high stools, and freestanding furniture consisting of a futon which can be a double bed for occasional guests and a table and chairs set.

There is a solid fuel stove.

There is a TV and CD/radio player and a Freeview satellite system.

General comments by vendor

We have had our share for 9 years and have had some lovely times cruising on Zenith and we will really miss it. Zenith glides beautifully on the canals and gets many lovely comments from other canal and boat users .

The boat's mooring is re-located every few years by agreement with the shareholders, to enable exploration of the whole canal system.

The group is committed to maintaining the boat to the highest possible standards.
