Booking system | A booking chart for the following calendar year is circulated in agreed priority order well before the owners’ annual meeting. Each owner has a priority place in the booking chart for that year, and moves up a couple of places each year: after a year at the top of the list, the owner then starts at the bottom, and after six years the cycle begins again. Each owner can choose two weeks (separately or as a fortnight) in the ‘high season’ (April to October inclusive), and one week in the remainder of the year. By this route, thirty-six weeks are firmly booked in this priority order with each owner having three weeks. After allowing for time for two maintenance weeks, the remaining fourteen weeks are then available for a single week choice with priority in reverse order to the original booking, so having last choice originally does have its compensations. The booking chart is then confirmed at the owners’ annual meeting with any remaining weeks that are available being decided at this meeting. |
Priority for school holidays | A maximum of two owners may elect to take school holiday preference shares. |

General comments by vendor
We have enjoyed our time on Whiston which is a very well maintained and well managed by a friendly, experienced group of owners.
We all take a pride in Whiston and look after her well.
We have a Chairman and Treasurer, and engineering and maintenance leads among us.
Our annual meeting is held in October where any major points for discussion and agreement are made.
An owners’ website provides comprehensive information on the details of using Whiston and any equipment.
Maintenance weeks are booked as needed and general engine services usually happen during changeover times.
We currently do our own cleaning and pump outs before handing over to the next party. Valet cleaning can however be arranged if required.
Whiston was re-painted in early 2022 and the windows replaced with double-glazed units, which has made a huge difference to noise levels and heat retention.
