General Comments About the Boat
Venture was built and launched by Wessex Boats in 2002.
Venture has a cruiser stern and just inside the stern door is the main switch/fuse board. The rear bedroom has a fixed double bed with storage drawers underneath. The bathroom is fitted with a shower, wash basin and a Thetford cassette toilet. The galley houses a fridge, four ring gas hob, oven, sink and work surfaces. In the saloon the seating/dinette can be used as a single bed or converted into a double berth. In the saloon there is a radio, TV and DVD player - the TV operates from a satellite system. Venture has an onboard wifi with unlimited data download.
Venture is heated by a Mikuni diesel boiler (housed in the engine compartment) heating three radiators, with the controls in the rear bedroom. Hot water is supplied via a calorifier.
A wood burner was installed in 2023 and is a very effective heater for the boat.
