Booking system | The booking chart is circulated by the management company on a rotation system. When you are sent the chart you choose two weeks in high season that runs from April to September and one week in the low season, which excludes January as this is when Symphony goes into dock for annual maintenance works. Once you have been first to pick, you fall back down to the bottom of the list moving up the ranks until it reaches the top again. The fourth week is booked once all shares have picked their main allocation, but in the opposite rotation, so whoever is last to choose their main weeks, is first to choose their fourth. If a shareholder is unable to use their weeks the management company notifies all shareholders and these can be taken on a first to respond basis to the availability notification |
Priority for school holidays | There are three owners who pay a premium of £200 pa on their maintenance and management costs to have priority booking of their school holiday weeks, which they fix before other owners choose their weeks. |
General Comments About the Boat
Starting at the rear is the semi-trad stern where the gas bottles, windlasses, mooring pins etc are stored.
You enter the boat through dropping down the steps into the master bedroom where there is ample storage and a fixed double bed that can be extended into a king size. There is also an en-suite cassette toilet that was refurbished in 2015.
In the corridor that leads down into the kitchen area there is a gas boiler that provides hot water and central heating throughout the boat and the main bathroom is also off here that houses a pump-out toilet, hand basin and shower.
The kitchen area is extensively equipped with all manners of cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery and it has a gas oven, grill, hob, sink, draining board, fridge and microwave. The work surfaces were renewed in 2016.
There is a hatch that can be opened up in finer weather to allow extra natural light in, which is very pleasant in the summer months. The dinette area converts into a double bed and there is plenty of storage for guests in this area also.
A log burner provides outstanding heating in the colder months throughout the main living areas. The lounge has two chairs that convert into single beds and a flatscreen digital tv and dvd combo, which can be easily viewed from the dinette chairs.
Double doors open up onto a small area on the bow where chairs can be placed to provide an outside area and there is a cratch cover that goes over this, which creates extra space for dry storage if needed.
Hull bottom plate renewed 2020. New carpets, curtains, dinette cushions, armchair-beds 2020. Hull blacked, roof painted 2021.
