| Booking system | Each summer a booking chart for the following calendar year is circulated in agreed priority order, where the bookings for the next year are confirmed. Each share has a priority for that year, and moves up a couple of places each year: after a year at the top of the list, the share then starts at the bottom, and after five years the cycle begins again. Each full share owner can choose two weeks (separately or as a fortnight) in the ‘high season’ (April to September inclusive), and two weeks in the remainder of the year. Half shares have one high season plus one low season week. By this rota, 40 weeks are firmly booked before the year begins. Allowing time for winter maintenance, the remaining 10 weeks are booked with priority in reverse order to the original chart, so having last choice originally does have its compensations. These extra bookings are confirmed on the first day of the month before the month of the booking. |

| Running costs for 2025 (How do these figures compare? Link opens new window) | Each per month Running cost £95.00 Contingency Fund £45.00 Winter maintenance payment. 50% before commencement (Dec.) Balance on completion and sign off (usually Jan) |
| How are the running costs to be apportioned | On the basis that the incoming owner is taking all my weeks for 2026 I would ask them to pay the 2026 monthly costs or apportioned pro-rata. It should be noted that there is around £15,000 in the boat bank account (Correct 2025) and the incoming owner will "Inherit" 10th of this, so £1,500 towards future expenditure. |
