Booking system

Syndicate members are entitled to use Sunseeker for at
least six weeks each calendar year.

This includes approximately four weeks in the high-season
period and up to approximately two weeks outside that period,
subject to the boat being available for winter works.

In addition members can request further bookings subject to
syndicate approval and a charge of £100 per week.

A booking chart for the following calendar year is
circulated in agreed priority order before the owners' annual meeting,
where the bookings for the next year are confirmed.

Each member selects up to three weeks in the high-season
period and up to one week outside that period.

Once all members have identified their requirements the chart is circulated again,
this time in reverse priority order. Each member can apply for up to two
additional unbooked weeks, one week in high season and one week in low season.

Each owner has a priority for each year, and moves up a place each year.

After a year at the top of the list, the owner then starts at the bottom.
Priority for school holidaysSyndicate members who have "special" status pay £250 extra per annum
and have first claim to book a choice of up to three school holiday weeks in
the high season and one school holiday week in the low season.

A maximum of one special share is allowed at any one time.

Currently one owner has special status and at present there is no
opportunity for the purchaser of this share to have special status. (Correct 2020)

General comments by vendor

After the demise of the original management company OwnerShips the owners set up a private syndicate which has proved a successful and friendly group. Over time the number of shares has reduced from the original 12 to the current group of 5 committed long-term owners. The small number of owners gives us great flexibility to do long cruises or have several shorter breaks each year, as well as reducing the level of wear and tear on the boat.

Tasks are shared by all members, and new owners will be expected to participate in the activities of the syndicate. An AGM is held each year, when roles for the following year are agreed (Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer, Booking Secretary, Technical Lead/Boatyard Liaison, and Marina Liaison).

Prospective purchasers will be offered the opportunity to contact other members of the syndicate in addition to the selling member if they so wish.

We chose new upholstery and chairs in 2016 and Sunseeker was repainted in 2018, with a red roof and the original "Sunburst" design at the stern, reinstated by Andy Russell.
