| Booking system | Owners buy share weeks designated red yellow or blue depending on when they fall in the year. A very fair rotating list of owners is used annually to allow owners to pick their holiday weeks for that year, as you move up the list each year. Holiday selections commence in Sept for the cruising year beginning first week of June the following year. Shares are sold in 12th (4 weeks) or 24th's (2 weeks). General Comments About the Boat
Serendipity is a semi traditional narrowboat.
Starting from the semi-traditional rear deck, there are 2 storage lockers with seating and the control / instrument panel before dropping down the steps to enter the main bedroom, which is equipped with a 4’6’’ x 6’3’’ fixed double bed, above bed shelf with built in reading lights and storage cupboard above rear of bed. There is further storage in a wardrobe with half height hanging and a hidden washing machine/ tumble dryer with large storage cupboard above. The steps up to the rear deck have easy access storage space in them.
The bathroom has a super-size luxury shower cubicle with glass door, vanity unit with inset basin and storage below, and a macerating pump out toilet.
The galley is spacious with a full-sized gas oven and grill which are at eye level. There is a separate 4 gas burner hob, fridge/freezer,
230V microwave and a slimline dishwasher. All worktops are granite. There is also a small lift up table below the side hatch opposite the galley sink area. There is plenty of storage space in both the galley and main corridor which is well equipped with kitchenware and utensils.
The dining area has a newly upholstered L shaped dinette that converts into a comfortable double bed with the free-standing table. There is an extra free-standing folding dining chair. There is also storage and a chiller drawer under the seating.
This leads to the saloon which has built in newly upholstered seating that converts to beds, storage cupboards, 2 wardrobe/lockers, book case, under-step storage and a solid fuel stove. There is a built-in flat screen TV with HDMI, a DVD player and Radio / CD player. Camping chairs can be found in one of the wardrobe/lockers.
There are storage steps out of the saloon leading to the front of the boat where there is further storage in two side lockers with fixed seating.
The bow locker contains two gas cylinders.
The boat is equipped with a bow thruster for easy manoeuvring, and with diesel fuelled central heating to skirting radiators plus radiator in the bathroom. It has oak flooring throughout (apart from the bathroom).

The boat has had many refurbishments and upgrades since being built:
Repainted with a complete new livery Jan 2020
New wall mounted flat screen TV and DVD with HDMI installed Jan 2020
Oak floor installed throughout 2018
Dinette seating and saloon sofa upholstery replaced 2018
When we purchased our share Serendipity was based at Welton Haven Marina. It then moved to Kings Lock Middlewich before going to Aston Marina in the spring of 2020. It will move to Dunchurch Pools in Spring 2022.
