Otter is one of the ex-Ownerships fleet. At just 48 ft, she is shorter than most ex-Ownerships boats making her easy to handle even by solo boaters whilst still managing to sleep up to five people. She is well looked after by the owners and a rolling programme of repairs and renewals is carried out each year. She had a full out of water hull survey in January 2026.
 
She has a Beta Marine 38 engine (fitted in 2014). Central heating radiators are heated by a Webasto diesel heater. Water is heated by the engine or by the Webasto.
 
New vinyl flooring was fitted in kitchen and bathroom and new carpet tiles elsewhere in 2023. New curtains were also fitted in 2023.
The comprehensive inventory includes duvets and pillows, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, land-line cable, river anchor and chain etc.
 
From the rear: 
 
Semi trad stern with  gas and storage lockers to the port side with bench seat above. Hatches in the decking provide access to the engine, gearbox and propeller shaft.
 
Rear door leads to steps into
 
-Main bedroom with a  fixed double bed with storage drawers underneath, plus full length wardrobe. A removable single bunk bed can be fitted above the bed providing extra accommodation for a child or small adult.
 
-Corridor with bathroom off. bath with shower over, wash basin with cupboard under and wall mirror over, pump-out WC.
 
-Galley is an elongated "U" shape with gas oven, grill and 4 ring hob; worktops; under counter fridge with freezer compartment (new in 2023); full height larder cupboard. A full range of crockery and cooking utensils are provided. There is a large side-hatch opposite the sink, which has a removable clear Perspex screen allowing light into the galley when cruising or in inclement weather.
 
-Dining area which has a L-shaped settee which also converts to a double bed, with storage beneath. There are two alternative tables, one small, one large, which can be stored securely against the wall of the boat.
 
-Saloon area which has two director style chairs. There is a purpose made storage unit at the bow end incorporating the steps onto the bow well deck. There is a flat-screen TV and separate radio.
 
-Foredeck, with locker for mooring pins, anchor, water hose, and other items. The small dining table has an extra base plate enabling it to be used on the front deck or towpath.
