Booking system | A booking chart for the following calendar year is circulated in agreed priority order before the owners’ annual meeting, where the bookings for the next year are confirmed. Each owner has a priority for that year, and moves up five places each year. Each owner can choose two weeks in the ‘high season’ (April to October inclusive), and one week in the remainder of the year. By this route, thirty-six weeks are firmly booked before the year begins. Allowing for time for winter maintenance, the remaining twelve weeks are booked with priority in reverse order to the original chart, so having last choice originally does have its compensations. These extra bookings are confirmed on the first day of the month before the month of the booking |
Priority for school holidays | Up to three shareholders may opt for "school holiday" preference shares (referred to as ‘Special’ shares), for which they pay a premium of 25% on the running costs each year, but get first choice of the school holiday weeks available. Currently (2023) there are two shares with this status on the boat. |

General comments by vendor
We have enjoyed over nine years aboard Hawksmoor and have enjoyed every moment on board. The other members have been great and before Covid the AGM was a social affair being conducted at one of the owners houses, taking up most of a Saturday, with food and drink.
This Special Share is due to pick first for season 2024/2025 usually around July 2024, so all weeks are allocated by AGM in November 2024. If you wish to change this share to ordinary share in the future it must be confirmed before the chart starts it rounds in July.
Hawksmoor has a semi-traditional rear deck with plenty of room for the steerer plus two (and a dog!) and contains lockers with gas bottles, windlasses, mooring pins etc. Moveable deck boards give access to the engine bay, weed hatch and batteries.
Underwent a complete Back To Metal repaint in smart new livery in 2016.
Duvets and pillows for 6 are provided.
Beyond the privacy door is the Alde gas central heating boiler (concealed by the opened door), with radiators in master bedroom, main saloon and the bathroom. Further is the bathroom to the left with corner bath, shower and full width mirror, radiator, wash basin, pump-out loo, storage and extractor fan.
Next is the galley which has a good area of worktop, numerous cupboards, gas oven, grill and hob, electric fridge, microwave and ceiling extractor fan. A glass-fronted see-through cabinet is also fixed to the ceiling and an opening side-hatch prevents overheated cooks on fine days.
Moving further towards the bow is the dinette; with removable, extending full size table (for 6 people) or alternative half size table (for 2) The dinette extends to a double bed and incorporates a wardrobe, storage and electric freezer.
The saloon has a double sofa-bed and a ‘modesty’ curtain. There is a flat-screen digital TV with DVD, automotive style CD/AM/FM radio and 4 (adjustable) speakers throughout the boat. For additional heating there is a solid fuel stove.
The folding French-window style doors lead to the well deck which has a seating area (with optional table) and three lockers for hoses, coal, mops etc. and the brass water tank filler cap. There is a bow-thruster down there as well.
There is a cordless vacuum cleaner on board for those wishing to self-valet.
