| Booking system | The allocation works by means of a "List" system. The secretary of the management company circulates the diary annually. Shares are organised in a "List" and the diary will be circulated from top to bottom for owners to select a number of designated weeks from their shareholding. Once the diary reaches the bottom of the list it will then be recirculated to go from bottom to top for the final selection of weeks. Each year the "List" moves up a few places to ensure fairness in position of selection year after year. The boat has 44 weeks of 52 available for "List" booking. Two weeks are assigned to winter maintenance and the balance of six weeks can be purchased by any shareholder to bolster their time aboard should they wish to. The benefit of having the "spare" six weeks means it introduces flexibility and doesn't force anyone into Christmas or New Year aboard. |

General Comments About the Boat
First Dawn is an award winning Semi-Traditional Narrowboat launched in 2010.
As you enter the boat from the semi trad stern you step down into the Captains Cabin which has a fixed double bed and ample storage, you then pass through into a Jack & Jill type bathroom before entering the Dinette/Bedroom area.
Beyond that sits the kitchen and at the forward end you have the lounge/diner/bedroom area.
The forward deck has a seating area and canopy.
First Dawn is a 6 berth, 61ft vessel with a high specification including:
Bow Thrusters,
Diesel powered central heating and hot water (Webasto),
Generous bathroom with full sized electric shower and macerator toilet,
Karndean flooring.
A fully equipped kitchen including a gas oven, 12v fridge freezer, microwave, kettle, nespresso coffee machine, oak cupboards and granite worktops.
Smart TV. log burning stove (multi fuel).
First Dawn is fully managed.
She is professionally valeted between turnarounds (plus a pet supplement if taking a pet aboard) and also serviced by engineers at each turnaround. (Correct 2026)
