General Comments About the Boat
Dawn Treader is a semi-traditional boat painted in Grey, with maroon contrast features and quality signwriting by Andy Russell. The boat had a total repaint in 2019. The boat has a black cratch cover and rear tonneau cover.
Entering from the rear deck, there is an enclosed semi trad deck with side lockers. There are the control panels for the main engine and hydraulic bow thruster. The steps down to the kitchen pass hanging cupboards and secondary control panels.
The kitchen is well equipped with full size 'fridge, oven, four burner hob, microwave and filtered drinking water. There is generous leisure battery provision supporting a 240 volt inverter. The kitchen itself is finished with grey marble worktops and inset bowl. The boat is equipped with enough crockery, glass tumblers, wine glasses and cutlery for six people. There are also appropriate pots, pans and cooking utensils.
The Pullman style dinette seats four and can be reconfigured to make two single or one double additional berths. There are steel wood panelled side doors, with net covers and perspex cover options by the dinette, providing the opportunity for additional natural light and views as you dine.
The lounge features two captains chairs and foot stools finished in oxblood leather. The dinette can be reconfigured to provide additional seating facing the lounge. The corner set solid fuel fire is both a feature and compliments the independent diesel boiler for the central heating radiators throughout the boat. There is a built in TV with DVD and high end media player for cd, radio and "Bluetooth" . There are steel side doors with wood panelling over the TV for addition open views facing the lounge area.
Next is the walk through bathroom with a large quadrant shower, vanity unit with marble surface and inset bowl. There is a macerator toilet to the pump out system.
The main double bedroom has generous wardrobe storage, with additional cupboards both under and over the bed. There is an additional fixed TV and DVD player in the bedroom. All necessary duvets and pillows are provided and maintained by the syndicate.
The boat is styled in panelled light varnished wood throughout, with carpeted walls below the gunwales. The curtains are a contemporary design to coordinate with the colour scheme of the boat and along with the lounge carpet were renewed during the repaint in 2019. The matching button pad curtains in the bathroom and bedroom provide "blackout" capability for high summer nights.
The front cratch area in the bow of the boat has a full width storage locker, with folding camping chairs and anchor for river use. The cratch cover and front panel can be reconfigured to open for sun and ventilation, or closed for winter weather protection.

General comments by vendor
We have been owners on Dawn Treader since June 2021 and really enjoyed our time on board, especially since her new engine in 2022 she is so quiet to run. She is booked in for a full repaint by Andy Russell end of June 2026, with reserve funds already saved and to be allocated. The same colour scheme is to be kept with only a couple of changes. The syndicate members are pro-active and look after the boat well.
