General Comments About the Boat
Broadsword is a semi-traditional boat painted in Blue and Red. There is a black Cratch Cover fore and aft.
Entering from the rear deck, there is an enclosed deck and steps down to the main bedroom. There are traditional Rose and Castle doors. There is a carved wooden post on the Fixed double bed. This bed can be extended to full double bed size when being slept in. There is a washbasin and large cupboard for clothes and storage. The main bedroom is ensuite with its own toilet and door to the main boat for privacy. There is a built in CD player above the bed and large underbed storage and the ceiling throughout is oak-panelled.
The curtains are a contemporary design and compliment the furniture covers. The carpet is a dark patterned green. All soft furnishings are cleaned annually.
The main bathroom is in the middle of the boat and has a toilet, large shower and washbasin with under sink storage, mirrored cabinet and shelving.
There is a clothes cupboard neatly fitted into the corridor by the bathroom.
The Kitchen is next and is equipped with split level gas hob and gas oven. Refrigerator (with freezer section), microwave and filtered drinking water.
Plenty of cupboards and equipped with enough crockery, cutlery, glasses for 6 people plus pans, pots and cooking utensils. There is a side double door access hatch for separate access to the boat and a 'Perspex' window can be fitted to give extra light without draft if required.
The dining area has two settees facing each other which can easily be extended to comfortably seat 6 people over a wooden table. This area converts to a double bed and has large underbed drawers for storage.
The Saloon has an L shaped settee which again converts to a double bed and a closet for storage and clothes. TV/DVD player and built in CD player.
There is a solid fuel stove for extra comfort but the boat has Central heating radiators throughout. There is a large table that can be fitted in Saloon (it also forms base of bed) or a separate smaller table so you can have 2 eating areas or useful 'games' playing.
The Foredeck has room to sit out (There is a separate table that fits outside) or it can be used for bikes/storage etc. There is an anchor here for river trips. The front side pieces are glass so you can see forward with the cratch cover in place.
All duvets, pillows etc. need to be provided by the owners as they arrive (this is post Covid).
The boat has a bow thruster to aid manoeuvering.

General comments by vendor
We have been narrow boating for over 40 years, 20 of which have been in shared ownership schemes and its been a great way of seeing our waterways but mobility problems now making it a wee bit risky jumping on and off at locks.
