General Comments About the Boat

Master cabin at the front with an easily accessible kingsize bed, wardrobes and drawer units. Houdini hatch and front window.

Bathroom with macerator toilet, bath and shower over. Full size washing machine.

Saloon with two armchairs, dining table and 4 chairs. Freesat TV and DVD player with Snipe II automatic dish. Bubble diesel stove. Large dog hatch.

Galley fully equipped with gas hob & oven, microwave.

Stairs lead up to collapsible wheel house. Storage and seating. Vetus hydraulic bowthruster and steering. Rudder indicator. VHF radio. Engine room access.

Stairs lead down to aft cabin.

Self contained with two single beds, ensuite macerator toilet and wash basin, separate shower cubicle. Houdini hatch and rear window.
Webasto diesel central heating through out.

Victron gel batteries (770ah), isolation transformer and Multiplus inverter/charger provide 240v power throughout the barge when not on shore power.

The batteries were replaced in 2017

Currently, there is a £4,000 contingency fund against future repairs.

While on board there is a £5 a day charge by the syndicate to cover consumables, such as gas, etc. and the cost of fuel and servicing is recovered by charging £7 an hour, recorded on the engine meter, and £0.80 an hour for the Webasto heating.

Brunel is an economical and comfortable way to cruise through Europe.

Share the costs and risks of owning a barge on the continent.

The barge was last dry docked in April 2017.

Brunel has 3000 litres of diesel on board for the 2019 season
