General Comments About the Boat
On the rear fly bridge there is seating for 6-8 for dining and a stainless steel wheel. Steps down each side to wheelhouse cabin.
This offers dining for 6-8, an inside steering position and access to engine.
Steps down to aft cabin with ensuite shower and loo.
Steps down to saloon which offers sofa bed and galley. walk through to separate loo and shower on left and double cabin on right.
Walkout through bow door to bow front which has seating with storage and access to gas bottles.
Built from tough fibre-reinforced epoxy composite, extremely well insulated and panelled throughout in both solid oak and oak veneer, the boat has a "first class" appointed double berth 'owner's' cabin aft of the wheelhouse with en suite shower and WC.
A second double-berth 'guest' cabin is provided at the opposite end of the boat with separate shower and WC rooms adjacent. The saloon/kitchen is provided with a sofa that converts to a third double bed, if required, and the seating in the wheelhouse - normally arranged as an 'L'-shaped dinette on a raised plinth for maximum visibility through the panoramic windows - can also be arranged to provide sleeping accommodation for two.
This is an ideal boat for two - four people who like to have occasional guests. Although it is able to take eight we would not recommend this for extended cruising.
The superstructure was painted in 2015 and the hull painted and anti fouled in 2017.
The wheelhouse has a large sliding sunroof and a second 'fly bridge' helm position is situated on the aft sun deck. The aft sun deck comfortable seats 6-8 people for meals.
In lieu of conventional marine gearbox, a variable hydraulic pump is installed which drives the main prop together with a bow thruster and a stern thruster.

General comments by vendor
We have been owners for 7 years, and have barged 5 times (COVID prevented us from fully utilising it).
The practice of alternating the commencement of the season between the North and the South has meant we have never done the same route twice.
We are the first cruisers of the season which means that the barge has just come out of maintenance so we generally do not have any problems.
The first part of the season is cooler and much quieter on the waterways which makes it perfect for beginner boaters or those that do not want to fight the crowds.
We have really enjoyed our years on Bon Viveur II but our circumstances have changed and we are really sorry to be selling.
