Zenith is a beautiful 52 foot semi-trad boat with Josher-style bows,
recently painted (2008/9) Mauritius Blue with coloured lozenges on the
front. The brown varnished front doors have been recently painted blue
to match the rest of the boat. She was built in 2001 by John White Boatbuilders in Liverpool.
She has a large, regularly maintained Beta Marine diesel engine
(Model 1903 - 43bhp).
Electrical supply - 3 x domestic batteries and 1 x engine battery.
12V and 240V supplies (via an Inverter). There is a landline
connection for powering the 240V system plus a trickle charger for
charging up the batteries.
Heating is provided by an Erbespacher diesel central heating system
and a solid fuel stove.
The boat is fitted with fire extinguishers and blankets as well as
smoke detectors and a CO detector.
The stainless steel water tank holds 150 gallons and has twin water
pumps.
The interior of the cabin is lined with Ash-veneered T&G and
hardwood trim.
There is spray foam insulation in all areas.
The main cabin has a fixed double bed with an interior spring
mattress. The bed side can be pulled out to create a 5 foot wide
bed. There is ample storage space.
The shower/bathroom has a 'hip bath' with shower over, a wash basin
with storage under, and a Sealand Traveller pump-out toilet.
The galley has vinyl flooring with a sink and drainer, electric
fridge, a gas oven, grill and 4-burner hob, a microwave oven. It is
extremely well equipped for four people (there are several good
cooks among the owners!).
The main saloon has a breakfast bar with two high stools, two very
comfortable armchairs (which convert into beds) and a folding table
that stores 4 folding chairs.
There is a solid fuel stove.
There is a TV and CD/radio player and a freeview satellite system.
