outside school holidays. With them you choose (in rotation) one week
in summer (RED), and then one week from the off season (BLUE)
period.

There are then four more owners who choose from the remaining red
summer weeks. The owner of this share is one of those four.
We four rotate within ourselves when it comes to choosing weeks from
mid May to 3rd week of July. It follows that you are never more
than, at worst, fourth to choose (after those obliged to pick the
school holiday weeks).
This two week share entitles you to one week every year in the Red
period and a week each year in the Blue period.
I am happy to answer any further questions if the above is not
clear. It sounds a bit complicated, but it works really smoothly.

Vendors Comments
'Winding Down' is an almost new boat, launched in July 2009 and
carefully looked after, and with a truly great syndicate that we have
felt very much at home with from the beginning. The specification of the
equipment is second to none, and everyone talks to you at locks about
the boat and the name! We have enjoyed welcoming friends and
grandchildren on board - the layout is very flexible.
But perhaps best of all is the allocation of weeks - this share entitles
you to an incredibly ‘cheap’ summer week on an exceptionally well
equipped narrow boat, with a bargain winter break as well. (We have
enjoyed our winter week enormously. With stove, central heating and
electric hook up, TV and DVD player, and the fridge and freezer well
stocked up, what could be more pleasant? Excellent canal side pubs and
eateries perhaps!
The equipment:
Multi-fuel stove and eco fan; diesel central heating, flat screen TV and
DVD player; terrestrial and satellite TV system; radio and CD player;
freezer, cooker, hob, fridge, microwave, dishwasher; full size shower
cubical, pump out macerator toilet, fixed double bed is 4'6" wide,
washing machine with dryer, all crockery etc for more than 6; duvets,
pillows.
The accommodation:
From the stern: semi-trad deck area good for group travelling! with 42hp
Isuzu engine under, PRM 150 gearbox, 240v electric hook-up, 2500w
inverter, down into master bedroom with fixed 4'6" double bed, wardrobe,
cupboard, corner cupboard, reading lights for bed, radio/CD speakers,
walk-in bathroom, galley equipped as above and with granite worktops and
solid oak flooring, dinette with storage under that converts to double
bed, and lounge area with a fitted sofa that converts into a double or
two single beds. Front well deck with lockers containing captains
chairs, BBQ etc. and the bow-thruster.
