Venture' was Built by Wessex Narrowboats as a self managed shared ownership boat, completed Nov 2002.

Heating is by Mikuni diesel fired boiler supplying three radiators and hot water. There is 240v mains shore connection with a Victron Combi inverter unit for the 240v sockets and for battery charging. 'Venture' has a cruiser stern leading down to cabin with a double bed (extendable to 5ft) clothes cupboard and drawers. The bathroom is equipped with a shower tray, washbasin, cupboard and Tetford toilet (& spare cassette).

There is a side hatch from the kitchen area, which is well equipped with gas cooker, fridge and good storage space leads to L shaped lounge/ dining area which also converts into a double bed. There is a fitted radio/CD system and a TV.

The Venture group are all relaxed about weeks, changing, extended cruising and the like. The boat has just had a new Mikuni heater, and is serviced by RCR.

She also carries a Gold RCR membership for peace of mind whilst cruising.

The replacement of the pump out loo with a cassette has been very successful.

Booking System	Each share provides 8 weeks in a calendar year, two weeks in each quarter. A rota for the next year is negotiated at the shareholder's annual meeting held in September. Further changes are made by agreement via e-mail. Special requirements to accommodate school holidays etc. are negotiated.
