In order to sail and navigate in Croatian waters the minimum qualification and experience would be Day Skipper level.
The marina is ideally situated in Northern Croatia and the staff are very helpful, visiting the moorings twice a day with stringent security including cctv cameras.
Pula airport is 5 miles away and currently Ryan Air fly into Pula from London Stanstead. I am paying £77 return in September.
Pula city is a great place to visit with various Roman remains including the most intact Coloseum in the world. Beautiful places to visit in the north i.e. Istria, Rovinj, Porec, Vrsar and Umag. Going south the list is endless, such as Cres, Krk, Rab, Losinj. The walled city of Zadar can be reached in three day, Dubrovnik another three days. The outer islands of the Kornati group in a national park are particularly stunning.
Food and drink are about the same costs as the U.K. with very good meat, wine and beer. Visiting another marina, mooring charges are approx. £35 a night although there are many free anchorages or cheaper moorings in small harbours.
