| Booking System | A booking chart for the following calendar year is circulated in agreed priority order in late summer before the owners’ annual meeting. Each owner has a priority for that year and can choose up to two weeks (separately or as a fortnight) in the ‘high season’ (April to October inclusive), and one week in the remainder of the year. After setting aside 4 weeks for winter maintenance (usually January), the remaining twelve weeks are booked with priority in reverse order to the original chart. Each owner moves up two places each year in the order of priority and after a year at the top drops to the bottom and the six year cycle begins again. | |
| Priority for school holidays | 'Special' (school holiday) shareholding giving holiday booking priority, in return for increased contributions, may be held by up to three 1/12th shareholders. Currently there is only one 'Special' shareholder on Shearwater (Correct as at Jan 2012) | |
