Vendors comments

This is a unique opportunity to part own a super Dutch Barge on the River Thames. The syndicate is well run and very helpful and friendly. The marina is very secure and has a chandlery, laundrette, additional shower/toilet facilities, ample parking and a "bistro" All you need if you just stay on the moorings for a week!

Running costs are discussed between the owners at the AGM and then divided equally into 10 ( i.e. number of owners) so everyone has their say.

The 2010 maintenance costs amounted to £1250 per share and an additional ad hoc payment of £550 was raised for contingencies. So a good fund already exists for future expenditure. This has already been paid and is included in the asking price which in effect means that the asking price is only £6150 when this is stripped out!

This is the only shared owner Dutch Barge operating on the River Thames and as far as I know only one of a few shared ownership boats on the Thames. Shares do not come up for sale very often. where the price asked takes takes into consideration the possibly less desirable late season weeks. Next year it is your choice not mine!

Spacious 6 berth, with 2 entirely separate bedrooms both with private facilities. Large wheelhouse so you can seat at least 6 people and also steer in the dry! Sip you champagne etc and enjoy the peace of the river.

Fully centrally heated plus wood burning stove so very cosy all year

Fully fitted and well equipped kitchen. Comfortable saloon with TV, DVD and radio/cd.

(Footnote from Philip, boatshare. I spent a week on Dorchester soon after she was built, she is a joy.)
