AGM held annually ( usually Dec. or Jan) and co-owners negotiate cruising calendar. So long as you are reasonably flexible this seems to work OK. From experience of other private syndicates most person's choices are met without having to go to fixed weeks or round robin etc.

This 52ft cruiser was launched in June 2010. It is owned by a private syndicate and currently one share remains. Each shareholder has a 1/7th equitable share of the boat.

It is a 'reverse' layout with the galley at the stern opening into the saloon area followed by a 'walk thru' bathroom with quadrant shower leading onto the bedroom which has an extendable full width bed. Services include central heating, mains electricity via a combi-inverter, cassette toilet, 12volt fridge, gas cooker and flat screen TV. The current syndicate members have also kitted the boat out with all essentials for independent cruising.

Running costs 2012 At the recent AGM it was agreed a contribution of £550 per co-owner would suffice to cover marina fees, licence, insurance and routine servicing.

Each share entitles the co-owner to several weeks cruising per annum. Weeks are not rigidly fixed from year/year but negotiable at the AGM prior to the years cruising calendar.

This boat is fitted out to a very high standard and feedback from the existing shareholders is excellent.

Viewing is highly recommended if you are serious about joining a private syndicate and having a 1/7th equitable share in the boat.

Remember that no other persons or parties have a financial interest in the boat and the syndicate is self functioning i.e. no management arrangements.

It was decided to re-locate to Barby Marina in 2011 since this brand new marina offers excellent facilities, is easily accessible (close to junction 18 M1) but more importantly gives easy access to a range of cruising options along different canals in various directions.
