here AMETHYST is a comfortable cruiser stern boat
and is fully equipped with all you need to enjoy the beautiful Canal du Midi
and the Languedoc region, which has great restaurants and vineyards on route
were you can stop for tastings, lots of pretty little villages to explore as
well as the main attractions of Carcassonne, Toulouse, Narbonne and
Bezier, there are very few mooring restrictions on route, however there are
some charges but they are minimal some give 1st night free. The nearest airport is
Carcassonne ,about 30 minutes away. Ryanair fly there from Liverpool,
East Midlands, Stansted, Glasgow, Cork & Dublin. Some members have changed over at Toulouse, Bezier & Bourganeuf.

Running costs 2010
Running costs £30 per month paid by direct debit only starts when new
member joins + you will require an International Certificate to operate
a pleasure craft from the RYA which can be obtained after a 1-2day
course at a local marina (1-2 day training course cost up to £200 and
certificate cost £40 valid for 5yrs). This can be done in the UK, check
with your local marina for a suitable trainer or

Vendors comments
We are a well organised friendly group formed 9years ago with a Chairman,
Treasurer, Secretary and Engineer with every member helping taking on
various jobs as they come up.
There is a TV and DVD plus Radio fitted, fixed double bed at rear and
sofa bed (for 2)
We are fortunate to have an English couple who live close by who look
after the shopping, laundry and the refuelling of the boat as well as
the transport to and from the airport.
There is a main line station by the canal in Carcassonne , handy for
trips to see, Toulouse, Narbonne, Perpignan, Bezier etc

then taxi to Trebes.
You can order shopping by e-mail from our friends Brenda and Stewart
,who will pick you up from the airport, launder bedding & get cheap
diesel from the supermarket.
